W2. extra credit: How organization use Wiki? / Dayoung Ryu 류다영
There are only few organizations use Wiki
for some reasons, because people think using or utilizing Wiki is quite inappropriate.
In collective intelligence class, we work on Wiki, but it Is hard to cite Wikipedia
for my report, work, and thesis. We know that Wikipedia has proper references
but still references from books, academic journals, and official web pages.
However, there is a project to utilize Wiki.
The thesis from Korean Cultural Convergence Society suggests writing course of humanities
departments with Wiki. In this thesis, we can read what is digital humanity education
and possibility of Wiki to connect education and research areas.

In this case, the author says that through Content of key
words of Archeology lecture, she could check again about educational effect of
Wiki. The lecture divided four steps, and each step has main work theme that is
‘finding classic genre’, ‘drawing connection’, ‘writing key words’, and ‘writing
digital sentences.’ She was noticed that Wiki made student can work collaboratively
and self-directly. Sharing students’ knowledge had also good effect on
students, because most of student was satisfied about that and proud of that. Students
had responsibilities for their works.
It is good news for everyone. We don’t need
boss or work alone person these days. We have share, find, and collaborate our
ideas and knowledge. It is different from gathering ideas. We have responsibility
to develop each idea and connect it another. Well, It might be a bad new to people who like work alone, just like me, but still it could be good because it gives us several chances to me to know others thoughts and views that develop my skills.
