W2. Why do you think Wikipedia is becoming more accepted? / Kim Seon Woo

I think it is the same as the flow of YouTube. Traditional media, academic institutions, research groups, etc. no longer deliver useful value to people. The public wants to get the information they want quickly and easily. At the same time, I want concise, ‘no further interpretation’. However, traditional institutions have not been able to do it. Being taken by their authority, they could not participate in personalization of information.

There are so many smart people all over the world. They were educated in traditional educational institutions. For this reason, it cannot be said that the data produced by each individual has a serious problem with 'reliability'. At the same time, 'reliability', which is a problem in individual data, is controlled by Wikipedia's collective intelligence system. I think Wikipedia will have a bigger impact on people in the future.

In addition, traditional institutions have mobilized 'information'. Contrary to the democratic proposition that the people are the owners, they have been directly or indirectly playing the role of controlling the people using information. Now that power is broken. Wikipedia is revolutionary!
