Why do you think Wikipedia is becoming more accepted?
Because of convenience. Their advantages include easy access to people and the amount of information they can find in a single search, Unlike traditional encyclopedias, information interpreted as easy words makes many people look for Wikipedia.

With just one Google search, Wikipedia can get the information it wants right away. Before Wikipedia appeared, it took a lot of time because it required a lot of searches to get various information. The traditional encyclopedia was made by a group of authoritative experts. Therefore, there may be some difficulty for the public to understand the information. Wikipedia consists of easier words, easier sentences because it is written by the public. This is helpful in a large part because you understand information.

These differences provided convenience for people, which is why Wikipedia has been used more frequently.

Summary Wikipedia is a multilingual online encyclopedia as an collaboration project. It isn't made by one people. Anyone can write and share information. It is maintained by non profit organizations. It is the largest and most popular  general reference work on the World Wide Web, and is one of the 20 most popular websites. Diverse information can be found in encyclopedia. Interesting point Wikipedia is made by group. All people in group can share their own information. Not only expert, but also anyone who have interest in topic, they can participate in make dictionary. I had a negative opinion about this in past, because this can affect on accuracy of information. But, after I realized that  this is "collaboration" project, many people can give a feedback to writers who post wrong information.
