Chapter 2 Reading : The Pursuit of the Universal Encyclopedia

Wikipedia's biggest feature is probably its 'cooperative' function. This collaboration feature can help each other by invoking other people's desire to contribute strongly. There's a lot of language encyclopedias and a lot and a variety of Wikimedia projects right now. Each has thousands of different wiki, some of which are highly specialized and continue to evolve into a universal vision. It was amazing that Wikipedia was the product of a diverse set of knowledge in the first place. A dictionary is a tool that usually allows authoritative people to gather to define and unilaterally deliver knowledge, and Wikipedia thought it was a dictionary tailored to the development of the 21st century, and it was very interesting to come up with this idea. What further developments should Wiki make to maintain its innovative dictionary position in the future?

In the reading it starts with the example of a “Neo-Nazi” dictator, it didn’t say when it exactly happened but I think it was during World War I and II. Summary Wikipedia is a multilingual online encyclopedia as an collaboration project. It isn't made by one people. Anyone can write and share information. It is maintained by non profit organizations. It is the largest and most popular  general reference work on the World Wide Web, and is one of the 20 most popular websites. Diverse information can be found in encyclopedia. Interesting point Wikipedia is made by group. All people in group can share their own information. Not only expert, but also anyone who have interest in topic, they can participate in make dictionary. I had a negative opinion about this in past, because this can affect on accuracy of information. But, after I realized that  this is "collaboration" project, many people can give a feedback to writers who post wrong information.
