W3-1. Reading assignment / ji eun Bang
1)Summary
Wikipedia is not just a multilingual encyclopedia but a collaborative culture. Wikipedia's success factor is its well-meaning cooperative culture. Wikipedia users can assert their opinions and knowledge by a neutral perspective and well-intentioned But Wikipedia is very realistic. This is because cooperative culture is a space created by discussing issues of openness, decision-making and leadership. Wikipedia has also increased access to knowledge. This site focuses on communication rather than on copyright issues. Wikipedia is suffused with a coexisting web of practices, discussion, and policy pages.
2)a new lesson
I think Wikipedia was free and fun unlike other websites. Because there is a particular sensibility, including a love of knowledge and a geeky sense of humor. Unlike many other communities, most all of this is captured online. Even beyond the inherent textual verbosity of other online communities, Wikipedia is extraordinarily self-reflective.
2)Discussion
I think Wikipedia articles are not boring and fun because it contains many people's thoughts. But what is the problem with this?
