1) summary
Wikipedia is the most popular site in the open content community. The open content community has five characteristics: public content, transparency, integrity, prohibition of discrimination and non-interference. Wikipedia's openness claims "a free encyclopedia that anyone can edit." But practically it raises the question of whether anyone can edit it. Although it is anonymous, it is possible to trace ip if it is actually left to a service provider. This is said to actually remove information unfavorable to them from the U.S. Congress. While the balance of fame, integrity and other issues in this open content community is difficult to balance, this leads Wikipedia to become a successful open system.
2) interesting point/ learning point
I was very angry at the fact that in the real-life case, members of the U.S. Congress blocked people who spoke against them through ip tracking in the open community and deleted that information. In fact, it is the same in Korea. In the news, I also saw politicians fabricating news and communities in Korea.
3) discussion
I think there is always a problem with the security of anonymity and the balance of ethical issues in the online community What do you value more?
