With the rise of FOSS, open is now a buzzword and has become a prefix of well-known concepts such as democracy and religion.
Interesing Point.
Like the Free Culture Movement, Wikipedia is a platform based on openness, transparency and cooperation. I was very impressed that great articles were created through discussions towards each other.
