W4 / Chapter 3 Reading / Lee Hayoung
Good Faith Collaboration
Wikipedia is centered on 'cooperation'. Two key complementary measures are needed to collaborate. Neutral attitude and good faith are required. A dictionary requires a very neutral posture. To discuss a concept, you need to go to a different Wikipedia page. There may also be factors that are not neutral in what they consider neutral, and differences in each other no longer provide the knowledge that should be provided in good faith. These are Wikipedia trolls. But we have to know how to respect the other person's thoughts. I think there will always be a good influence on places where many people gather, but there will be a malicious act wearing a good mask. However, it was interesting that Wikipedia, a dictionary, values neutrality because it does not know where and how this malice will occur. What efforts should we make to exchange more effective information in the future of anonymous knowledge sharing?
