W4 . What we need to keep on Wikipedia (after reading) / Juhee Cha

Wikipedia is a relatively new way of collaboration: online, asynchronous, anonymous, incremental, and cumulative. Wikipedia's information needs to be worked on to be accurate. Reference materials can be achieved through provision. Wikipedia is not a dictionary that can insert personal opinions, experiences, or arguments.Wikipedia has a neutral point of view, which is that we shouldn't advocate a single point of view. It is necessary not to express any perspective as "truth" or "best view." In the event of a conflict with respect to neutrality, the article is classified as a dispute article, then details are identified on the conversation page and dispute resolution is carried out.Wikipedia is free content that anyone can edit. Wikipedia has no firm rules except for the five general principles presented.
This week, we studied Wikipedia's general principles through Wikipedia education for students. I thought Wikipedia's information was valuable because I only knew that it was written by individuals until I knew the general principles. But Wikipedia's important principle was to take a neutral view. Therefore, reference literature should also be taken care of, and the information being discussed can be classified as conflict articles. I could have thought of activities that provide information through Wikipedia, or collective intelligence, as a free shared culture.
Nevertheless, the contributors to Wikipedia modification have different perspectives. Therefore, even looking at the same topic, each of them has a different perspective and information is likely to change. Therefore, I thought it was important to have an attitude toward collaboration, but I wonder if it would be possible to have that attitude on the Internet.
