W6. A Globe in Accord / Juhee Cha

1.Summary
When talking about Wikipedia's success, sometimes it focuses on Technology. Technology can inspire the vision of a universal encyclopedia and enable people to socialize by increasing networking technology, cooperative technology, openness and accessibility. Knowledge donors were also able to communicate and provide information gradually. But the biggest reason Wikipedia was because of its strong cooperation. In order to understand Wikipedia, it is necessary to focus on communities and cultures. Certain cultures and values promote cooperation within Wikipedia. Also, like communities, Wikipedia changes.

2.Interesting Point
How was Wikipedia's strong cooperation possible? Is it because of Wikipedia's system or because of its information contributors? I thought there was strong cooperation because contributors created information about specific articles together. They work together to make articles, forming their own culture and promoting Wikipedia's cooperation. I thought Wikipedia had a similar appearance to other societies, only in different forms.

3.Discussion
How do you think Wikipedia's strong cooperation came about?
