W6. Reading Assignment - CAI MUBO

Over time, the average quality of Wikipedia articles rises, but Wikipedians’ standards rise more quickly. I totally agree that this sentence. Wikipedia, and the collaborative way in which it is produced, is at the center of a heated debate. Much as reference works might inspire passionate dedication in their contributors, they also, seemingly, can inspire passionate disparagement. It should be emphasized that the "free" in Free Encylopedia mainly refers to two things: freedom of copyright and free of charge.In Europe and the US, copyright is strictly enforced, and Wikipedia's popular left model enables more people to take advantage of what it contains without having to think too much about copyright.Moreover, Wikipedia is free, unlike other encyclopedias of the time, and it is a manifestation of Wikipedia's purpose: to give free access to the sum of the world's knowledge.This idea is in the same breath as Encyclopaedia thought of the EnlightenAfter coming to China, copyright and free will have little or no advantage, but because China lacks another kind of freedom, the slogan "Free Encyclopedia" is another layer of meaning: freedom of writing and content gradually covers the first two meanings and becomesIt had to be said that it was a sad coincidence. I'd like to discuss the future of Wikipedia, but to be honest, I don't know how to say it......

    Thank you for the good article. I also agree that wikipedia is in center of a heated debate. And I wonder what kind of freedom is lacking in China.

Summary   Wikipedia's culture includes the topics of Wikipedia and the Wikipedia community, Joseph M. Reagle Jr. The 2010 book. This book was first published on August 27, 2010 through MIT Press and has a preface to Lawrence Lessig.   This book is an ethnographic study of Wikipedia's history, practical and theoretical pioneers, and culture, including consensus and collaboration practices. This book is described as a pioneering ethnographic study of Wikipedia culture. Reagle's main paper was summed up with the claim that "Wikipedia's success may be less technical than the results of Wikipedia's community and their cultural norms." Why do you think Wikipedia is becoming more acccepted? Wikipedia will become more and more advanced. The biggest advantage of Wikipedia is that it has no commercial advertising and is supported by the nonprofit Wikimedia Foundation. Also, as of this year, it has been translated into more than 300 languages and more than 40 million writings.  What is the unique feature of Wikipedia that it will develop more rapidly?
