1. Summary
Wikipedia is not just an encyclopedia. This can be seen as a cultural element of collective intelligence in what is called the Neo Nazi attack.
In early 2005, Stormfront members wanted to get rid of documents on Jewish nationalism favored by white nationalists. As such, Wikipedia has sometimes been attacked by ethnic groups.
Wikipedia contains many documents in various languages, and they work on projects aimed at social cohesion.
Also, the focus of the book is Wikipedia's "Culture of Cooperation." One aspect of the universal encyclopedia view has increased the accessibility of knowledge. Wikipedia further develops this by increasing information and access to its production.
In March 2000, Wikipedia co-founder Wales hoped the encyclopedia would spread around the world within a year, including the third world. It was difficult for anyone to use the Internet freely because the Internet was not as developed as it is now. Many experts have tried to create the Universal Encyclopedia. At the center are Index Card and Microfilm. It is no exaggeration to say that their Wikipedia began in the 1900s.
Based on these efforts, Wikipedia began in 2001.
Chapter 2 contains the contents of realizing a universal vision in reaching global consensus.
2. Interesting Point
Wikipedia was simply thought to have started in the late 1990s when the Internet developed. However, after reading Chapter 2, I found that Wikipedia's origins actually run through the early 1900s. I was surprised that a variety of people wanted to make an encyclopedia of this collective intelligence.
3. Discussion
Wikipedia has written documents in various languages. This would be the same for countries called the Third World. So, is one of the purposes of Wikipedia, the "Universal Encyclopedia," a success?

If you look at Wikipedia's main screen, information is However, you can see that there is a large amount of knowledge in certain countries, while there is a small amount of knowledge in some countries.
