W8.2 Reliable sources / Juhee Cha

1. Summary
Wikipedia articles should be written based on reliable and public sources. It should include references to all quotations and contexts in which questions are raised or likely to be raised. The contentious content of the real person is immediately removed without waiting for discussion. The reliability of the source depends on the situation. Each source should be carefully evaluated to determine whether the statements made in the Wikipedia article are reliable and appropriate sources for its content. In general, the more people check facts, analyze legal problems, and scrutinize the writing, the more reliable this publication is. Information provided through reliable sources that are not relevant to the main topic of the publication may not be reliable. The editor should, if possible, cite sources that focus on the subject at hand.

2. Interesting Point
It's interesting that without reliable sources, Wikipedia will not be able to publish an article on the subject. I think this is the characteristic underlying Wikipedia's credibility. Articles are written based on public sources, controversial content is excluded, and quotes that can maintain neutrality improve the quality of articles. Based on these characteristics, each line of Wikipedia article becomes a well-founded sentence. And I've always wondered if I could quote a paper, which I found to be considered credible only if I could prove that they had considerable academic influence. I learned that if you want to use it, you should use the paper quoted in the literature.

3.Discussion
We are currently editing articles on topics of interest. Did you think you were using the right sources after reading it? If not, what are you doing wrong?
