Proper sourcing always depends on the context. common sense and editorial judgment are an indispensable part of the process.
And the piece of work itself (the article, book), the creator of the work (the writer, journalist), the publisher of the work (for example, Random House or Cambridge University Press) is reliable.
2. Interesting point
According to this reading, I realized which article is reliable. Before reading this article, I cannot distinguish the reliability of articles. And also I had a doubt about the reliability of an article because anyone can participate in making a dictionary. But after reading this article, I realize how to distinguish the reliability of articles. So, I will be able to search for correct information on Wikipedia.

When I had my first class in college when I was freshman, I was noticed about reliability (reference). It was quite easy to understand, and it is almost same in Wikipedia. Isn't it? The hardest part is where we can find reliable sources to work our articles. Some of us already know where we can find them, but others don't.
