W13. Categorization - Gyongmin Moon, 문경민
Most of the articles in Wikipedia are associated in a category or two. Due to the categorization, people can easily check and access to other related articles. By organizing the articles this way, Wikipedia can maintain quality lists of articles without any chaotic mess. Sometimes, the categories closely related to each other get grouped into one, and turns into Wikiproject. We all know Wikipedian article is assessed by other Wikipedians and eventually gets its grade from stub to featured, and by the importance of it. But an article also can be assessed in its Wikiproject once more, both its quality of content and its importance.
It was really hard for me to categorize articles that I started by myself. Because there might be a category that I might be trying to assign my article into, but I just haven't typed the correct word for it. For example, I was trying to assign my article of 데이비드_A._와일리 into 'living people' category in Korean Wikipedia, but I couldn't find 생자(生者) category so I made a new one by myself, being astonished in the fact that Korean Wikipedia doesn't even have a category for living people. But then, later I found out that it was just '살아있는 사람' category, which I was just dwelling too much about it.
Did you have a similar incident of having a tough time categorizing your article like I've had?

I didn't know much about the categorization function, and I didn't know if I could choose a topic of interest and see the article. So I always wrote the title of the article directly through the search box. But now that I know about the categorization function, I think I can choose a category to look at.
